Documentation Needed for loan applications
Items typically required to apply for a home loan with SunTrust Mortgage include:
- Pay stubs for the previous 30 days for all borrowers
- Signed personal federal tax returns, including all schedules, for the past two years
- W-2s/1099s for all employers for the past two years
- Two months of current statements for all bank and/or credit union accounts showing balances and account numbers—to include all pages of the bank statement and explain/ document any large bank deposits
- Government-issued photo ID
- Landlord history for the previous two years including name, address and phone number, as well as the monthly rent amount (if applicable)
- Any additional financial records that may be relevant to the qualification, including bankruptcy, divorce decree, or judgments/ collection payments. Documentation of receipt of alimony/child support payments need to be provided only when you use it as income for loan qualification purposes.
